GeorgiaBEST@Workis designed for Georgia employers to use with their existing workforce. It may also be used by non-profit organizations, government agencies, and any other entity who employs individuals in either a paid or non-paid capacity. Goal: to assist employers with their need to train both new employees and incumbent workers.
HR managers, trainers, or designated facilitators can use the link at the bottom of the page to register for the GeorgiaBEST@Work program. Once registered, they can then log in to access the facilitator’s guide, lesson plans, activities, and ethical choice scenarios. Supervisors or trainers can also complete the Frequency Observation Tool for each employee that has been observed by a supervisor for a period of at least 90 days, indicate whether or not the employee has met the requirements for a GeorgiaBEST@Work certificate, and print the certificate.
A Train-the-Trainer Toolkit (adapted from ASTD’s Ultimate Train the Trainer: A Complete Guide to Training Success workbook, written and copyrighted by Elaine Biech and the American Society for Training & Development, and published by ASTD.) is available for those facilitators who may lack experience or confidence with conducting training sessions. It includes a Trainer’s Guide, PowerPoint slides, handouts, and additional resources.
Attention: GeorgiaBEST@Work is only for employers. Teachers that are in the work-based learning and youth apprenticeship field, please register for GeorgiaBEST@School which has a WBL/YAP component within the curriculum
